Rema 1000: Twenty minutes south of the center, has a great open dumpster. Lot of packaged stuff but unpackaged fruit and vegetables too. Please try to approach it unseen so it can remain a great source of food for freegans.

Bunnpris Steinan (Bunnpris Vestlia?) has an unlocked dumpster easily accesible on the side of the store. Vegetables, fruit and some dairy products. The store closes at 23.00.

Shell: The dumpster at the Shell gas station near the E6 has sandwiches and other things on Mondays. Tip: If the sandwiches passed their expiration date the previous Friday, then usually they really have gone bad. (Last checked: October 2011)

Rimi: At St.Hanshaugen there is a Rimi store where one can easily pick up fresh bread they place out when the shop closes. The bread is packed in paper bags, and is fresh and sanitary. The store is located at the small shopping mall in Waldemar Thrane's Gate - go down 'Ungers Gate' at the side of the mall to find the carts with bread, and their dumpster, which is mostly locked.
